Every so often, a training session reminds you why the work matters. This was one of those times.
THEDI recently took part in a Step Down Training on the Standard Q Testkit, a rapid diagnostic tool designed to detect a range of critical diseases, including HIV, Malaria and COVID-19, by identifying antigens and antibodies. On paper, it’s a technical session about a piece of medical equipment. In practice, it was about something much bigger.
The training went beyond learning to use a tool. It strengthened our capacity to deliver faster, more accurate and more accessible diagnostic services to communities that have historically had the least access to quality healthcare. By building these skills within the team, we are better prepared to bring rapid, reliable testing directly to people where they are, because early and accurate detection saves lives.
The Standard Q Testkit reflects THEDI’s commitment to innovative, practical and community-centred healthcare solutions, and every skill our team gains in the field translates into better health outcomes for real people in real communities.
