Who We Are

Total Health Empowerment and Development Initiative (THEDI) is a registered non-profit community-focused organization working to improve access to health, dignity and social protection for marginalized and underserved population in Nigeria. Founded in April 2010 and incorporated with the Corporate Affairs Commission in September 2012 (CAC/IT/No. 55858), THEDI works to strengthen inclusive systems. promote wellbeing and support communities facing social and structural barriers to care.

 

We believe that everyone deserves the opportunity to live healthy, safe and fulfilling lives regardless of their background, identity or circumstance. Our work prioritizes people who are often excluded from mainstream services and ensures they have access to the tools, knowledge and supportive environment needed to thrive.

Our Mandate

THEDI promotes inclusive health and human dignity through advocacy, community engagement, capacity building, service delivery and strategic partnerships. We support individuals and communities who face stigma, discrimination and heightened vulnerability by improving their access to information, health services, psychological care and protection mechanism.
